  4. Open any drawings you have created and select Edit > Change > Symbol Layer
See the bug 2.20 below

0.0 New Features Summary
========================
  1. PROPERTIES EDIT
Menu: Edit Menu >> Edit One >> Properties
    Text equivalent: PEDIT
Description: Allows you to edit the standard properties of a single selected entity through an interactive dialog box.
  2. BOX
    Feature Now works with attach.
  3. DYNAMIC EDIT
    Text equivalent: DYNEDIT
Description: Editing of paths\polys\splines now supports the CC-DOS style of <--> INS DEL multiple node editing, with the dynamic cursor showing the resulting new shape.
  4. TEXT
Description: Now allows the default text position to be below the last text entered, like CC-DOS. Spacing is like multi-line text.
  5. KEEP TEXT HEIGHT AND ANGLE
    Text equivalent: KEEPTHA
Description: Makes the current text height and angle equal to the last text drawn.
  6. SYMBOL PARAMETERS DIALOG BOX
Description: The dialog that pops up when the right button is pressed when inserting a symbol now copies the XScale value to the YScale value whenever the XScale value is changed. To use XY scaling, enter first XScale, then YScale. This behaviour change will reduce the likelihood of different XY scaling when it is unwanted.
  7. INSERTING SYMBOLS
Description: While inserting a symbol, you can now left-click on a new symbol in the symbol catalog to change symbols being inserted.
  8. BACK
    Menu: Edit >> Back
    Text Equivalent: BACK
Description: Like front, BACK sends entities to the back of the draw list. This command, unlike FRONT, is not undoable, in order to minimise memory pool overruns.
  9. DOUBLE LINES
Description: Now allow the shift key to change the 'master' line (left, right or center).
  10. TRIM INSIDE & OUTSIDE
Menu: Edit >> Trims >> Trim Inside / Trim Outside
    Text Equivalent: TRIMIE / TRIMOE
Description: Added TRIMIE trim inside entities and TRIMOE trim outside entities commands. Pick two bounding entities, and then pick each entity to trim, with the pick point 'between' the two bounding entities. All points cutting the boundaries are trimmed. The 2nd bounding entity is optional, and allows trimming to closed entities like polys and circles.

1.0 Undocumented Features
=========================
1.1-1.6

All previous undocumented features are now documented in the help file.

1.7 Select a layer icon selects a catalog
----------------------------------------
CC2's layer icons will now optionally select an appropriate catalog. For example, if you select the VEGETATION icon, CC2 can select the Filled Vegetation catalog automatically. To enable this functionality, copy catalog.mac over fcw32.mac in your CC2 directory. To remove it, copy nocatalog.mac over fcw32.mac.

2.0 Bugs/Technical Answers
==========================
Whilst CC2 is the most pre-tested RPG software of all time, it is very powerful and we haven't been able to test every combination of circumstances. These are bugs known to be in CC at time of release.

If you have any bugs to report please try to submit them in the following format:

CC2 Version
Windows Version
Problem Title
Problem Description
How to reproduce the problem (using files installed with CC2)
Work Around (if you've found any)

Unsolved bugs and common technical support questions are listed below. Those numbers missed out are not present in this build.

2.11 Can't see all icons
------------------------
Problem
The lowest icons aren't visible on a 640 x 480 display.

How to reproduce problem

  1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Desktop area
  2. Select 640 x 480 mode
  3. Run CC2
Solution 1
If you are able and willing, increase your screen resolution
  1. Close down applications
  2. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Desktop area
  3. Select 800 x 600 mode or better
  4. Restart Windows.
  5. Run CC2
Solution 2
If you can't change the resolution
  1. Copy the file 640x480.mnu in your CC2 directory over fcw32.mnu.
  2. This removes the gaps between icon groups.
2.16 Saved bitmaps have strange colors
--------------------------------------

Problem
Whilst copying to the clipboard produces bitmaps with correct colors, Save As bitmap with the same options settings doesn't. The Save As uses a 256 color bitmap with a limited palette, whereas the clipboard uses 16 million colors.

Reproducing problem
Open the file All 256 Colors.fcw
Select File > Save As
Select file type bitmap
Open the file in a paint application

Solution
A great many people can not work with 24-bit bitmap files, so we save as a 256 color bitmap. To save as a 24-bit bitmap, use the clipboard and save from there with a paint application.
  1. Check that the resolution is OK - Edit > clipboard > Options
  2. THAW and SHOW any layers you want to include in the bitmap
  3. Select Edit> Clipboard > Copy (or press CTRL-C)
  4. Press the right button to accept the default origin (0,0)
  5. Select ALL OK-Do it.
  6. Open the paint application. Select Paste. Save the bitmap.
2.18 Symbol fills don't copy to the clipboard
=============================================

Problem
When you copy a map to the clipboard, symbol fill styles appear as small dots in the bitmap version.

Reproducing problem
  1. Start a new map based on 1000x800.fct
  2. Select the Marsh symbol fill style
  3. Draw a box
  4. Press CTRL-C. Select All, Do it
  5. Open a paint package
  6. Paste
Work around
  1. Take a note of what symbol is used for the symbol fill you want to add to your drawing.
  2. Select Insert > Symbol.
  3. Place a copy of the symbol (it can be on a hidden layer)
It will now copy to the clipboard

This symbol is on the bug list and will be cured

2.19 Mirroring, Scaling XY of symbols causes a crash
----------------------------------------------------
Problem
Due to the way CC2's entity database is currently structured, certain entities within symbolx cannot be scaled XY or mirrored. These entities are multipolies that contain arcs.

Reproducing Problem
  1. Select the Structures symbol catalog
  2. Select the City 1 symbol
  3. Press the right button
  4. Type 2 in the Scale Y box
  5. Select More
CC2 freezes

Work around 1
If you want XY scaling on symbols:
  1. Place the symbol as normal.
  2. Select Edit > Explode, Prior OK-Do it.
  3. Select Scale XY or Mirror by prior
Work Around 2
If you use a particular symbol or symbol set and need to be able to SCALEXY on the symbols dynamically:
  1. Start a new blank drawing.
  2. Place a copy of each symbol in the drawing.
  3. Edit > Explode all symbols.
  4. Select Insert > Symbols >Purge SymDef
  5. ScaleXY All, OK-Do it by 1.00 X, 1.01 Y.
  6. Define all the symbols.
  7. Save as a symbol catalog.
(Strictly speaking you need only redefine symbols which contain multipolies which in turn contain arcs.)

CC2 now copies the X scale value into the Y scale value to reduce the risk of this happening accidentally. It is unlikely that this bug will be solved before 1999.

2.20 Symbols don't appear correctly when layers are hidden
==========================================================

Problem
Certain symbols appear to have invisible sections when certain combinations of layers are hidden. It happens with maps created in the old version. This is caused by a new way of dispalying symbols which allows them to have layers.
  1. Reproducing Problem
  2. Open any CC2 map from a previous version
  3. Set the VEGETATION layer to current
  4. Hide All
Some parts of the vegetation are hidden

Solution
This only affects maps created using symbol catalogs created in previous versions. To cure this problem:
  1. Make sure the SYMBOL DEFINITION layer is visible
  2. If the map appears strange, select Edit > Change > Symbol Layer
  3. If a symbol catalog appears strange, select File > Open > Files of Type Symbol catalog
  4. Open the affected symbol catalog. Select Edit > Change > Symbol Layer

3.0 Importing CC-DOS maps
==========================
This is now in the help file in the index under 'Importing'.

4.0 Updates to CC2
==================
This is the third released version of CC2.

4.1 New features since release one
----------------------------------
  1. An error in the installation which caused incorrect default values for line widths and clipboard options.
  2. A color contour bar was replaced

4.2 New Features since release two
----------------------------------

SYMBOLS and CATALOGS
  1. A new symbol selection from the catalog window will cancel the old one. You only have to right click then Finish when you've done inserting symbols. You can just select the next command instead. E.g.
    1. Select a Mountain symbol. Place it.
    2. Select a Mountain Range Symbol. Place it.
    3. Select the next icon/menu item you want to use.
  2. The 'Symbol Parameters' dialog that pops up when the right button is pressed when inserting a symbol now copys the XScale value to the YScale value whenever the XScale value is changed. To use XY scaling, enter first XScale, then YScale. This behavior change will reduce the likelyhood of different XY scaling when it is unwanted.
  3. You can now (optionally) select catalogs by selecting the correct layer icon. See 1.7 above.
  4. Symbols can now have layers. This can affect the appearance of symbol references (see 2.20 above)
TEXT
  1. Text. If you type in text then press the right button, it will be placed below the last piece of text you entered.
  2. File Text now explodes to Multiline text, multiline text to single line text.
  3. New command CHANGETX. Change Text allows changein of multiple items of text to the same text.
  4. When text is selected with the EDIT command, you can change the text to the contents of a text file
HYPERLINKING AND HOTSPOTS
  1. Added Map and file linking commands, implemented using hotspot boxes which can be clicked on when activated.
  2. New commands Activate Hotspot, Make Hotspot Hide and Show Hotspots.
  3. OPENDOC launches an application associated with a particular file. This enables the Link with File command to work
MISC NEW FEATURES
  1. New Properties command. This allows to select any entity, then change the fill style, line style, etc. from a single dialog box
  2. Dynamic Edit now allows you to move around an entity using the arrow keys, press INS to add nodes and DEL to remove nodes (like the DOS version)
  3. Notes command. You can add text notes to your drawing and view them.
  4. Support for WINTAB digitizers has been added.
  5. Non-undoable Back command. Sends to the very back of the drawing (including frozen layers.
  6. The GE macro command has been added. It is like the GP command except the pick box cursor is displayed.
  7. You can type in a length from the prior point with PRL, ANG and PRP
  8. Added GFNO, ACTIONM, ATTRIBM macro commands.
  9. Added the macro command SAVEDXF which saves the current drawing as a DXF file 'CurDwgName.DXF' with no input required.
  10. CHANGE command which allows you to select from all the various change commands.
NEW FILES
Thanks to our users, we now have many more example maps, catalogs and templates to distribute. These are not warranted in the license agreement, and although we will be happy to receive bug reports which include these files, we will not guarantee to offer tech support for them.

These users include:

CC_DOS IMPORT BUGS
  1. Drawings imported from FCD would have situations in which a new layer would be assigned the same id # as an existing layer, causing multiple layer selections (cross linked layers).
  2. Dealt with multipoly import bug.
TEXT BUGS
  1. Text no longer selects by line or fill style, properties that text does not have.
  2. The TSPECF macro command now allows spaces in the font name.
  3. The properties button of the Add Text dialog now correctly shows the new text entity having the current text properties.
  4. Fixed a bug in Text Explode when file text was very large (>2000 chars).
SYMBOL BUGS
  1. The 'new catalog overwrites window' bug is sorted.
  2. Fixed a minor bug in DELSYM: when deleting a symbol contained in a second symbol definition, it incorrectly reported the name of the second symbol definition.
  3. Imported symbol definitions with no extents have their extents calculated when any symbol pick box is shown in display symbol mode (Insert/List/Delete, etc.). Before this, such symbols would insert ok, but they did not show up visually in the symbol display list.
  4. Fixed the Charges.fsc catalog which contained some corrupt symbols.

DXF/DWG BUGS
  1. Improvements in robustness when faced with non-standard files
  2. DXF files being imported should have the symbol definition name in both the BLOCKS group and the following BLOCK group, as AutoCAD writes it. Some other programs write the name in the BLOCKS group, but not the BLOCK group. CC2 DXF import now fixes this error automatically. This caused the symbols not to appear in the drawing.
  3. DXF/DWG output now ignores invalid symbol definitions that contain no entities & no end marks.
  4. Edited line styles that have only one segment now export to DWG/DXF correctly.
  5. Saving now reorders the drawing: all Infoblocks, then all SymDefs, then the rest of the drawing. This fixes several weird DWG/DXF conversion problems, and problems reloading drawings after renaming symbols to a newly created symbol.
  6. DWG/DXF export now changes & and / and - characters to _ and also limits the number of segments to 12, the max that DXF allows, and points are not assigned line styles.
  7. DXF/DWG import now uses a text width scaling factor of 1.2 instead if 1.6 to make a better fit of most AutoCAD(R) fonts.
  8. Fixed bugs in DWG/DXF export of multiline and file text, and DXF Improved DXF/DWG import/export text height & width scaling to better fit inside similar bounds.

REDRAW BUGS
  1. Fixed Tooltips causing unneeded regens.
  2. Fixed Thaws, Freezes cause uneeded regens
  3. LIST and COUNT will now list entites on frozen layers without FRONTing them.

MISC. BUG FIXES
  1. Regroup always draws in the correct color without an additional redraw.
  2. BOX now works with Attach mode.
  3. The DRAG Rubberband cursor now works with Perpendicular, Parallel and Angle modifier
  4. Trim no longer incorrectly tries to trim an closed figure such as Polygons or Smooth Polys.
  5. EMF export allows Insert File into Word(R).
  6. Fixed a bug in fill styles of Multipolys containing text.
  7. Groups now correctly work with the Copy Layer command - all entities within the group are copied into a new group with each contained entity copied to the new layer.
  8. Fixed a crash that occured when an entity with width and non-solid line style had scaleable hatching assigned to it.
  9. Arrowheads no longer disappear when the standard layer is hidden.
  10. The PART command no longer crashes when registry data has been corrupted.
  11. The Style button in the Edit path/polygon dialog now works.
  12. Fixed a bug in path nearest-point logic that caused Break to crash on vertical sides of paths and polygons, when the break points were picked exactly on the line segment.
  13. Hidden attributes now display and pick when not inside a symbol definition. This makes working with them much easier. They do not show up when a symbol containing them is drawn, although they do report on the extract command.
  14. Very large smooth polys no longer cause a crash.
  15. Fixed bug in which status bar, tool button and file names displayed the previous files settings when a file was opened from the Recently Used File List.
  16. Fixed two Smooth Poly splitting bugs (these indirectly caused the bad charges)
  17. Fixed a bug in PRL/PRP modifiers when the drawing scale is very large Length of angle lock line is now scaled to window width to auto-correct for scale issues.
  18. Adjusted the approximitation limit to allow approximations involving splines successfully intersect. (Caused failures to trim splines).

READ ME file for CC2 version 5.20
and the DD2 Pre-Release Version

1st August 1998
This version is what you get when you install Patch 2. There is additional documetation in the Notes directory.

IMPORTANT
If you have jumped straight from version 5.14 or 5.15, follow the instructions below. Version 5.14 was the very first version and had no About dialog box. If this Read Me file came with a patch rather than a full version:
Open any drawings (catalogs, maps or templates) you have created and select Edit > Change > Symbol Layer

  5. DD2 Pre Release version help
1.0 Undocumented Features
=========================

1.9 Multiple level Undo/Redo
----------------------------------------
CC2 now offers multiple level undo/redo. This is reset after a save or autosave.

1.10 Improved select by Each
------------------------------
  • When you select the Each option. During Each picks, clicking where there are no entities to be picked automatically starts a select by window. When this is complete, it goes back to Each picking.
  • If you hold down the CTRL key while each picking, or during the 2nd click of a window pick, then those items are deselected, just as if you were using NOT mode from a standard dialog. These additions make this a very quick and low-hassle way of selecting entities.

1.11 Optional right-menu Selection method
-----------------------------------------

Currently, the most common way of selecting things to edit is to use a series of dialog boxes where different selections can be combined and adjusted. An (optional) new method now speeds up the selection process. This is set in Options > Preferences as 'Enable selection right-button menus'
When this check box is on (the new default), then selecting is a lot like the multiple Each described above, except that a right-button click will now bring up a pop-up menu allowing access to most of the advanced selection options formerly available through dialogs.
When dialogs are not the chosen method of selection, shortcut keys can operate directly: A for all, P for Prior, D for 'Do it',C for color, etc. This can be an additional efficiency.
While all of the new options may seem confusing, nothing says you have to use them all. Try the new way - if you don't like it, set both of the new options off, and everything will work as it always has. With the new options, one of the most 'click-intensive' areas of the CC2 user interface has been much improved.
There are key equivalent intercepts for popup menu mode (when the menu isn't visible that let it work like the dialogs do: A P C L S F T O N, and D for Do it to end the selection. With this, one can do it all with no menus or dialogs.
E.g. you could select ERASE then type A N C 0; D to erase All Not Color 0 Do It.

1.12 Optional Selection method
------------------------------
This option causes a left-button press at the 'Command' prompt to start a selection process before the command. Entities selected at this time will be used by the next command in place of its asking you to select entities. This is for those people who feel strongly that all Windows programs should operate on an Object then Verb order. If you do not feel strongly about this, leave this unchanged, as it:

  • is slower and harder to use.
  • can get confusing when mixed with CC2's ability to nest commands and make icons and menus have customized macro programs.

Check Options>Preferences > Enable Left-Button Preselecting to select this method. Its default setting is off.

1.12 Undoable BACK command
--------------------------
CC2 now stores entities in a linked list. This means that it can now have a BACK command that is undoable.

1.13 No more AutoFront
----------------------
If you edit an entity, it is no longer brought to the front of the drawing. This means, for example that you can adjust the position of a mountain in a mountain range without having to do any fronting.

1.14 Picture command
--------------------
Inserting bitmaps is now much easier with the Insert Picture command. Select Insert>Insert Picture, choose a bitmap then select the scale option - 'Scale to just fit inside' gives you an undistorted image. Draw a box to place it in your drawing. If the picture is in the same directory as the drawing, it is stored with a $ sign in front of it and can then easily be transferred along with the drawing.

1.15 More Attach Options
------------------------
There are now two new Attach modes, Nearest Endpoint or Midpoint and Nearest Fraction. You can specify a fraction denominator such as 8 for every 1/8th of the entity. 8 gives circle attachment to the nearest octant point, 2 gives nearest end or midpoint, etc. The attach mode and fraction value are now saved in the registry, although the attach on/off status always defaults to off at startup.

1.16 GUIDE command
------------------
A method of creating self-running tutorials has been added - see Notes\Guide.doc for details.

1.17 Script documentation
-------------------------
See Notes\Using scripts with CC2.doc for details.

1.18 New tree catalog
---------------------
L Lee Saunders (saunderl@hotmail.com) has created a very nice new Deciduous forest catalog. This has been added to the Symbols\Maps\Filled directory.

1.19 New Link Button catalog
----------------------------
The Symbols\Other\ directory contains some button symbols which can be used in conjunction with links (from the Info menu)

2.0 Bugs/Technical Answers
==========================
Most reported bugs are now solved.
If you have any bugs to report please try to submit them in the following format:

CC2 Version
Windows Version
Problem Title
Problem Description
How to reproduce the problem (using files installed with CC2)
Work Around (if you've found any)

Unsolved bugs and common technical support questions are listed below. Those numbers missed out are not present in this build.

2.11 Can't see all icons
------------------------
Problem
The lowest icons aren't visible on a 640 x 480 display.

How to reproduce problem

  1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Desktop area
  2. Select 640 x 480 mode
  3. Run CC2
Solution 1
If you are able and willing, increase your screen resolution
  1. Close down applications
  2. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Desktop area
  3. Select 800 x 600 mode or better
  4. Restart Windows.
  5. Run CC2
Solution 2
If you can't change the resolution
  1. Copy the file 640x480.mnu in your CC2 directory over fcw32.mnu.
  2. This removes the gaps between icon groups.

2.16 Saved bitmaps have strange colors
--------------------------------------
Problem
Whilst copying to the clipboard produces bitmaps with correct colors, Save As bitmap with the same options settings doesn't. The Save As uses a 256 color bitmap with a limited palette, whereas the clipboard uses 16 million colors.

Reproducing problem
Open the file All 256 Colors.fcw
Select File > Save As
Select file type bitmap
Open the file in a paint application

Solution
A great many people can not work with 24-bit bitmap files, so we save as a 256 color bitmap. To save as a 24-bit bitmap, use the clipboard and save from there with a paint application.

  1. Check that the resolution is OK - Edit > clipboard > Options
  2. THAW and SHOW any layers you want to include in the bitmap
  3. Select Edit> Clipboard > Copy (or press CTRL-C)
  4. Press the right button to accept the default origin (0,0)
  5. Select ALL OK-Do it.
  6. Open the paint application. Select Paste. Save the bitmap.

2.20 Symbols don't appear correctly when layers are hidden
==========================================================
Problem
Certain symbols appear to have invisible sections when certain combinations of layers are hidden. It happens with maps created in the old version. This is caused by a new way of displaying symbols which allows them to have layers.

Reproducing Problem

  1. Open any CC2 map from a previous version
  2. Set the VEGETATION layer to current
  3. Hide All
Some parts of the vegetation are hidden

If this still produces abberant results with custom catalogs:
  1. Start a new map based on a standard template.
  2. Open the catalog with the catalog button.
  3. Select each symbol in the catalog once (you dont' have to place a copy)
  4. Erase everything in the drawing.
  5. Select Select Edit > Change > Symbol Layer
  6. Save the map As a symbol catalog.

3.0 Importing CC-DOS maps
==========================
This is now in the help file in the index under 'Importing'.

4.0 Updates to CC2

4.3 Summary of new features since release three
-----------------------------------------------
NEW DATABASE FORMAT
The database format has been changed. It is now a linked list. This enables all sorts of new benefits:

  • Increased speed redraw.
  • Multi level undo between saves.
  • Editied entities aren't automatically sent to the front
OTHER NEW FEATURES
  • You can now enable and disable grouping with the Lock/Unlock button. This means that you can edit entities in a group, then treat them as a whole later.
  • Groups now have a better listing format that 'brackets' the included entities.
  • Parts are will now insert without having to be updated first.
  • Adjustable pick aperture (the little cursor when you select by EACH)
  • More Attach options including Nearest Fraction and Nearest End or Midpoint
  • New right button menu selection option
  • Select by Each improved. If you select somewhere where there are no entities, a window cursor appears. If you press CTRL down when making a selection, it deselects.
  • Optional right-click context-sensistive selection with hotkeys.
  • Optional select entities before a command
  • When a symbol with color 31 in it is exploded, the color 31 becomes the color of the symbol
  • Select by type now has different selections for path, poly, smooth poly, spline, and bezier curves.
  • ZOOM EXTENTS now zooms to the _visible_ extents.
  • Parts are now loaded with the same service used to load drawings, so parts can now be any valid file load type, including old file versions, dwg/dxf, etc.
NEW COMMANDS
  • Insert > Insert Picture lets you place a bitmap in a drawing. You can type a $ character in the bitmap's filename to represent the drawing's directory. The drawing (and the bitmap) can then be exported.
  • Map link improved to have a *.fcw wild card.
  • Extents now added to Info menu.
BUGS SORTED/MINOR CHANGES
  • Symbol Reference Attributes are now enumerated after the entities in the symbol definition, so that attributes may overlay the symbol itself. This means that you can have a symbol with a label over it.
  • Fill Styles are now merged correctly when inserting parts.
  • Area command now displays in the selected display format instead of always numeric decimals.
  • XP modules now must have the .DLL extension, not .XP
  • Fixed a bug in the calculation of the area of an ellipse.
  • Fixed a DWG/DXF import bug related to annonymous hatch block references.
  • Smooth Poly display up to 8000 nodes now works.
  • SELECT BY status (except prior) now kept in the registry.
  • Fixed a bug in the Fill Styles dialog sample display that caused it to solid fill if the last operation before its display undrew entities.
  • Made a major revision to the WINTAB digitizer interface logic. Kurta tablets now work, and the status bar displays trackingcoordinates during configuration & calibration to help with tablet switch settings.
  • Removed the REGROUP command from the menu. Superseeded by the LOCK/UNLOCK button.
  • fixed bugs in merging parts, added merge logic to symbol catalog support function InsSymRef. Merging should now be correct & consistent.
  • Allow Line prp, prp len, tangent, and trimto to work with entities inside sym refs when modifiers are also used.
  • Fixed a bug in line style deleting.
  • Overhauled clipboard copy-paste/part insert to fix nested symbol definition bugs.
  • An error picking the font in the text specs dialog no longer aborts the dialog.
  • DWG/DXF import - max size of path/poly now set to 479k. It was 1Meg, but NT4 chokes on a heap allocation larger than 77FF8 bytes. This means a max of 61,400 nodes.
  • Errors in symbol expansion when mirrored or scale x/y have been fixed.
  • You can not split an ellipse due to a conflict with code to ignore 360 degree arcs and earcs - ACAD seems to generate a lot of these, which are invisible in ACAD. Allowing them in our program gives a bad ACAD import. You can still break an ellipse into an EArc.
  • Figured out the Word-97 EMF bug: Word-97 can not process a metafile that has been given a disk file name, even though the spec recommends it. EMF now sent to the clipboard is memory resident only, which makes it work, (centered in the specified size image), in Word-97.
  • Fixed several 8087 stack errors in Cut,Split,Break, and Trim for path and polygon entities.
  • Fixed bugs in ellipse and elliptical arc default centers.
  • Complete revision of palette change logic to reduce palette errors on 256-color displays. They occur when CC2 is the first program run after boot & then a switch to another app or help (with non-std win color set) is made. Complete elimination caused excessive redraws to occur whenever a tooltip, message box, or dialog was used. If color palette errors do become visible, simply minimize & restore CC2 to remove them. They will not occur except on the first program run after boot. They should not occur then unless multiple drawing windows are in use and the other app does not cover some drawing window.
  • Symbol References selected for stretch now move with the stretch, as do other entities that do not deform, such as circles.
  • Fixed a complex bug in entity select using pull-down menus and any selection, multiple times.
  • Fixed bugs in editing attributes.
  • Fixed a bug: Loading a symbol catalog reset header values of the current drawing.
  • Fixed: Symbol Fills do not copy to clipboards
  • Trim commands now keep trimmed entities in their group, and in front/back order.
  • All Trim commands now properly validate the entity to be trimed. No closed entity can be trimed. To trim a polygon, first split it.
5.0 DD2 Pre Release version help

================================
This is the pre-release version of DD2. It includes all the symbols from the new version. These symbols are found in the Symbols\Dungeons\Filled directory.

5.1 Gettting Started
====================
To start a new dungeon:

  1. Select File > Template. Select a template from the Templates\Dungeons\ directory.
  2. Select New.
  3. Select the DD2 icon on the right icon bar or select File > Dungeon menu.

You are now ready to start creating dungeons.
There are some new icons on the lower section of the right icon bar. The top group are useful shortcuts for setting Solid or Hollow fill style, drawing walls, or setting the line width to 0. The lower group these select DD2's new symbol catalogs. They don't currently select layers. Try these.

SYMBOLS
Remember - when inserting symbols, using the Arrow keys changes the symbols angle to the compass points; pressing CTRL+SHIFT together rotates the symbol to any angle. Press CTRL and moving the mouse re-scales the symbol.

DOORS
The Wall Features catalog contains doors. These are designed to be used after you have used BREAK to break door-sized holes in your walls. If you don't want to have to break holes you should instead use the Wall Features 31 catalog. These all have a background which will overwrite the wall in the current color. If you want to place doors over a wall, and you want your map to have a white background:

  1. Draw some walls.
  2. Select the Catalog button.
  3. Select Symbols\Dungeons\Filled\Wall Features 31.fsc
  4. Select white from the color bar.
  5. Choose a door symbol.
  6. Place it over a wall.

Notice that the wall looks as if it has been broken. Note that this method is very good for secret doors - if you place a color 31 door on the secret layer, then hide the secret layer - the secret door will be hidden and the wall won't have a tell-tale break.

If you want your background to be a bitmap rather than a solid fill:

  1. Start a new dungeon.
  2. Define a bitmap fill style called 'Door Background'.
  3. Draw walls.
  4. Insert Doors as described above from the Symbols\Dungeons\Filled\Wall Features 31.fsc. catalog.
  5. These doors will have a background that is filled with your bitmap (it won't tile exactly)
FILLING DUNGEON BACKGROUNDS
  1. When you have just started a new map, draw a solid filled box on the Background layer.
  2. Use Edit > Back to send it to the back of the drawing.
  3. Draw all of your walls.
  4. When you are satisfied with the walls, copy them all to one side of the map border.
  5. Set the line width to 0, Edit > Change the Width of the copy to 0.
  6. Using Trim to Intersection, Break, Trim to Entity and other trim icons, make the copy into an unbroken outline.
  7. Select a color, select multipoly, then select this unbroken outline - it will become a solid color entity.
  8. Move this back onto the template. Use Change Layer to change its layer to the Background layer. Edit > Back by layer, the Background layer.

2.0 Bugs/Technical Answers
==========================
Most reported bugs are now solved.

If you have any bugs to report please try to submit them in the following format:

CC2 Version
Windows Version
Problem Title
Problem Description
How to reproduce the problem (using files installed with CC2)
Work Around (if you've found any)

Unsolved bugs and common technical support questions are listed below. Those numbers missed out are not present in this build.

2.11 Can't see all icons
------------------------
Problem
The lowest icons aren't visible on a 640 x 480 display.

How to reproduce problem

  1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Desktop area
  2. Select 640 x 480 mode
  3. Run CC2
Solution 1
If you are able and willing, increase your screen resolution
  1. Close down applications
  2. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Desktop area
  3. Select 800 x 600 mode or better
  4. Restart Windows.
  5. Run CC2
Solution 2
If you can't change the resolution
  1. Look in the System directory and read system.txt.

----------------------------------------------------------

Problem
Certain symbols appear to have invisible sections when certain combinations of layers are hidden. It happens with maps created in the old version. This is caused by a new way of dispalying symbols which allows them to have layers.

Reproducing Problem

  1. Open any CC2 map from a previous version
  2. Set the VEGETATION layer to current
  3. Hide All
Some parts of the vegetation are hidden

==========================

This is now in the help file in the index under 'Importing'. This has been greatly improved in this version.

4.0 Updates to CC2
==================
This is the fourth released version of CC2. These are listed now in reverse order.

4.4 Summary of new features in 5.21 (Patch 3) (this version)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Compatibility with CR2 - you can now link to CR2 encounters
Support of FNT (CC-DOS) fonts allows more accurate import of DOS maps, as well as the use of the visually accurate accurate CC-FONTS.
Font preview now supported.
You can now click directly on layer boxes to change their freeze, hide and current status.
Makes a stab at calculating dimensions of True Type fonts.
Improved EMF export resolution.
Release 14 ACAD files supported
Made COUNT/COUNTA count the entities in sublists - those within groups, mpolys, symdefs, etc. This causes the counts to be greater than reported in previous versions, but they are accurate.
Macro EDIT ok now automatically call Macro Save. Cancelling the dialog keeps the changes in memory but not on disk. This change is because people often forgot to save their changes and lost them when they quit CC2.
Redo All added to menu

Bugs Removed
Lots of bugs (50) removed in this version including:
Symbol fills now cut to clipboard
Defining lots of Symbol or bitmap fill styles no longer crashes.
Many symbol list display problems removed
Insert SymDef, insert second SymDef, UNDO caused SymDef to be blank - removed
DOS and DXF/DWG import prooblems addressed
Intersections with baselines now calculated
Percent now locks to correct place on a path segment enabling many DD2 macros to work properly
Fixed a bug in CLIPCOPY that erased everything when it was a NEW drawing created from a TEMPLATE then PASTED into another program.
KEEP did not work with attribute entities to keep text styles.
Templates and Symcats can now be overwritten by SAVE
Fixed a bug in TrueType text initialization FInit1 that caused Windows to incorrectly substitute Times Roman for CityBlueprint. Other fonts may have been mismapped. That it now gives the correct font may be verified by using the font in question in MS-Word & comparing the appearance. Users may need to edit existing drawings and revise fonts to maintain their old appearance if necessary.

4.3 Summary of new features in version 5.20 (Patch 2)
-------------------------------------------------------

4.1 New features since release one
----------------------------------

  1. An error in the installation which caused incorrect default values for line widths and clipboard options.
  2. A color contour bar was replaced

CC2 version 5.99 FR Atlas update

This update to CC2 is included on the Atlas patch. It is able to read and write CC2 version 6.034 files (those used on the Atlas), includes all v6 bug fixes, but with a few minor exceptions, does not include any of the new features of CC2.

New features

  1. There is a color button on the Status bar.
  2. Action hotspots activate automatically (you don't have to select Run first)
  3. The NEW drawing command has been changed. Starting a new drawing starts immediately with the name (Map).FCW assigned. When any command attempts to save this drawing, it is renamed to WORK.FCW and then enters a Rename & SaveAs dialog. If that is cancelled, the name is now Map.FCW. This works like most Windows programs where you do not pick a name until you save the new file, and avoids confusion with the 'Save' button in the SaveAs name dialog
  4. Replaced Change Line Width dialog with standard prompt with prior value default, allowing use with macros.
  5. RUNAPP & OPENDOC now work with # and $ file path prefixes.
  6. EMF & BMP file creation now honor hidden layers.
  7. PARY now allows 1 row, N col and N rows, 1 col arrays.
Other information
If you need to install Dungeon Designer, install the earlier version of CC2 fist, then DD2, then install this update. If the setup program says that you do not need to install it, then quit the installation.

This is a cosmetic bug. Just scroll the catalog window to force a redraw.

2.25 City Designer 2 Grid Angle
-------------------------------
Angle Grid does not lock to the nearest entity, depite a pick box.
  1. Draw a line
  2. Select an angled grid
  3. Draw a line
  4. Select Angle Grid from the City menu
  5. Select points on the line
The grid is not perfectly aligned to the entity

Version 6.037 Read Me File

New Features over 6.036

  1. A File browser now lets you preview files and map notes before opening them, and lets you view thumbnail pictures of any files in a folder, then click to open
  2. A high res JPEG and PNG file export option. Size can be twice the area of bitmaps
  3. A function to export a rectangular area as a JPEG or PNG file at very high resolution
  4. A few commands that were formerly text-only commands have been added to the menus
  5. Global Layer Settings option. You can override the layer settings in individual drawings allowing you to open drawings with particular layers visible or hidden by default
  6. Two new commands for generating fractals are now available from the Draw icons menu
Bug fixes and minor changes
  1. The seleciton to make CC2 the active window is now discarded (not used to select a point)
  2. The OPTION dialog now has a check box 'Redraw on other app's palette changes' which is the default. Turning this off will eliminate excess redraws by CC2 when switching between apps in 256-color mode, but will leave CC2's colors badly mismatched while CC2 is not the active window. Note that the redraw when another app has the focus will *not* be in correct colors, just the best match available at the time - and the palette may differ when the app's main window .vs. its border is selected
  3. Fixed a units problem
  4. PSAVE and PREST save the current properties (color, etc.) an let you restore them in a macro
  5. Arrow heads now undoable
  6. ESC or Ctrl-W will now close the most recently opened list or count (blue text) window
  7. DXF and DWG changes
New Features over 6.033
=======================

6.035 new features
  1. CHANGET now works on attributes and attributes in a symbol reference
  2. Added a new flag to the EDIT/CHANGE text properties dialog: 'Angle fixed (no rotate)' which when set causes the text bearing angle to not rotate
  3. Added OPTIONs checkbox to force local enumeration of # copies for use with printers that do not correctly print # copies specified
6.034 New features
  1. Pressing the ESC key will now abort long searches. Note that it make take awhile to respond if its in the middle of loading or unloading a large file. When it does, the red status message changes to 'aborting...'. It make take a bit to complete the abort process and find its way out of recursive directory scans
  2. Added the INDEX command, which asks for a search path and pattern, such as c:\CC2\*.FCW, and creates an index file, INDEX.IDX, which can be specified as the file path in a later SEARCH command, to dramatically speed up searches. The INDEX.IDX file may be renamed anything .IDX. File references are relative to the path of the INDEX.IDX file, so it and its directory and subdirectory structure may be moved to other locations, such as a CD-ROM drive. You should not index files directly off of a read-only drive, as it will be unable to write the index file to that location
  3. TEMPLATEM now forces the .FCT type extension if not specified or if specified differently
  4. Added pick by windows (W) to selection right button pull down and hotkey. This allows window specification even when the starting point is over an existing entity
  5. Added DIST2 command, which displays the bearing, distance and delta x,y between two points, in a dialog with edit controls so that ^C can place the values on the clipboard. Added to the info menu
  6. The DWG/DXF import/export now works with R2000 files
  7. Symbol catalog display is now controlled by the LAYER visibility information in the symbol catalog file, not the one in the current drawing (sometimes caused symbol tiles to appear empty)
  8. All SYMDEFs are now moved to the front of the drawing, outside any groups or nested SYMDEFs. Empty groups are now purged. When CC2 found a nested SYMDEF (illegal), and the first record in the file was an empty group, it was deleting its 'before' pointer. This is now fixed, and many FCW files that had load problems now are automatically fixed
  9. Added 3 new macro printing commands: PRINTSM, PRINTWM, and PRINTNM. These commands print without any dialog box and can be driven from macros, scripts, or actions
    1. PRINTSM;ViewCenter;PaperDistance;DrawingDistance;flags;
This prints a view at the given center and specified scale
      PRINTWM;Window1stCorner;Window2ndCorner;flags;
This prints the specified window 'to fit'
    2. PRINTWM;;flags;
This prints the active window view, 'to fit'
    3. PRINTNM;ViewName;flags;
This prints the specified named view 'to fit'
The flags parameter is an integer with these added values:
      0=landscape (the default)
      1=portrait
      2=Print white as black
      4=print all black
8=ask to confirm before printing (with a message box)
For example, 4+1=5 would be portrait, all black
Bug Fixes
=========
6.035 Bug fixes
  1. Some NT4 systems fail the data transmission from the custom color control pick. Until this is figured out, the value is now being set from the color control's internal variable
  2. Many improvements to DXF/DWG import/export
  3. Dealt with a memory error where multiple windows and arrows were used in a drawing
  4. Fixed TRIMTO so that trim to entity highlight is not removed by a mid-command zoom
  5. CursorSnap ON caused some actions not to be detected, if their rectangle contained no point on the snap grid
  6. The intersection modifier INT now works properly when both entities are part of the same group
  7. The CHANGEL command failed to unhighlight selected entities (or change them) when the 'Purge Unused Layers' button had been actuated during the dialog to get a layer id
  8. Dialog data load/stores now reset the math chip stack, as some display card drivers leave the math chip in 'chop' rounding mode - under NT. ie: Editing a grid setting to a value less than 1.0 seems to be ignored
  9. Fixed a bug in the symbol catalog that caused it to use the wrong set of information blocks (layers esp.) This caused a crash when it was turned on/loaded when no current drawing was already loaded. The crash occured when the next drawing was loaded - the wrong infoblocks had been deleted
6.034 Bug fixes
  1. Fixed problem that caused a crash when printing across certain NT networks. Revised code that enumerates printers to resolve problem dropping network printers from list when running under NT
  2. Print/Print Preview Extents now ignore hidden entities in calculating the extents
  3. Fixed a bug that crashed when drawing networks with two or more drawing windows visible (bug in Networks dynamic cursor)
  4. Fixed a bug scanning angle input - when the degree mark or 'd' was the last character of the angle, and another term follows, as in '<45d,2', the term was rejected because it did not properly return the , as the delimiter. It worked ok if min/sec were specified '45d00m00s,2'
  5. DWG/DXF save no longer crashes when saving symbol definitions or dimensions, although the saved dimension style data is not correct yet - ACAD reads it ok, but we get it wrong on a read back
  6. Drawings loaded with hidden sheets failed to properly identify SYMREFs that were missing their SYMDEF. Fixed
  7. Purge Unused SYMDEFs failed to detect SYMDEFs used only on hidden sheets
  8. OFFSET no longer selects entities on hidden layers to continue the chain
  9. XPSYMCAT no longer crashes when the CATALOG command is used when the symbol catalog has not been displayed. (Turned off before load and not yet made visible)
  10. Fixed a bug in printing: When a printer does not support multiple copies, CC2 now properly cycles through printing twice to emulate this feature
  11. When the current printer is changed in the PRINT dialog, landscape/portrait mode and # copies are no longer reset - they remain as specified
  12. Some CC-DOS files are corrupted by having SYMDEFs without the entities that belong to them, while specifying that such entities are present. The importer now closes any prior SYMDEF when starting a new one, and all groups are removed from SYMDEFs, increasing the odds that a corrupted file can be read. If the last SYMDEF is missing its entities, those entities will still appear as part of that definition in CC2 and be missing from the main drawing
  13. Fixed an error in finding SYMREFs to non-existent SYMDEFs in version 5.16 and earlier FCW files. These occur because many DWG/DXF files have such references, which we include but ignore
  14. OUTLINE did not behave very well with multipolies - fixed
  15. Added the MCOLOR command, which allows you to specify the color used to mark selected entities (initially 16). The color can be specified from a macro, or from the color dialog (Works like the DSKCOLOR command)
  16. The Change Text Specs dialog now has two radio buttons along the bottom: 'Change only touched' (the default) and 'Change everything' which users can click to have the command change all text properties (like CC-DOS). The setting is persistent within one CC2 work session
  17. XREFs no longer store relative paths - this caused problems when the drawing was SAVEASed to a different directory path
  18. A drawing now checks that all of its XREFs exist on load. The user is notified of missing XREF files and given a change to rename them

Version 6.038 Read Me File

Exploded symrefs with entities in symref color, now show such entities in the correct color

  1. The selection to make CC2 the active window is now discarded (not used to select a point)
New Features over 6.033
=======================
***** IMPORTANT *****

Add-on Support
==============
If you have any add-ons, they probably will not work unless you follow these instructions:
  1. Install CC2
  2. Install your add-ons as normal. We suggest you install whichever you have in the following order:
    1. Dungeon Designer 2
    2. City Designer 2
    3. Character Artist
    4. CC2 Dioramas
    5. Symbol Set 1 - Overland
  3. Install this Universal Update. This update makes sure that CC2 and all it's add-ons work correctly as Version 6.12

*********************

Notes
=====
  1. This version of CC2 makes extensive use of the registry. Unless you use the installation software, it will not function properly
  2. The CC2 files been installed on your computer in the directory you specified, and no files have been placed in any other location
  3. You can have multiple installations on the same system, but every version must be identical - you can't have add-ons in one installation, but not another. To create a second installation, copy your complete CC2 folder to another location. The copied CC2 will not be uninstallable through Windows Control Panel
Changes in v6.12

================
We've done a lot of work on the interface in this new version to make it easier and more intuitive to use. We have a new look, right click menus on most commands, a new Drawing Tools feature, improved symbol management, reorganized and simplified menus, cut down room, corridor and building commands and a selection of city and dungeon symbols

  1. Toolbar buttons are now in the new, sleak, Win 2000 look with transparent icons, instead of grey-backed ones
  2. Moved specialized mapping commands to the top left icon bars
  3. Added Right-click functionality to toolbar buttons- most with optional pop-up context menus
  4. Added an help guide tutorial on the Help menu
  5. Added the Draw Tools feature - preprogrammed drawing commands which can 'lock' to the map borders, use many types of fractal and are easy to change. You can add a complex fractal landmass in two clicks, or add a new section to a cave. They can be used for creating swamps, rooms, lakes, forests, roads or most other mapping features
  6. Added the Symbol Settings feature. Select from a list of images to choose from related symbol catalogs, optionally setting an appropriate layer, color or other properties
  7. The previous lake, river, etc. icons, have been replaced with draw tools - left click the button to get the default, or right click to see a list of choices
  8. A new toolbar with the symbol catalog icons has been added. Select View >> Screen Tools Symbol Toolbar and point it upward
  9. A new option for large icons is available for high res users (1024x768 or better) on large monitors (17' or larger, we recommend) Select View >> Screen Tools, Use large toolbar buttons to select this option, then restart CC2
  10. A right click between commands does not repeat the previous command - instead you get a context menu. You can turn this option off, or even change the menu if you wish. See 'right click context menu' in the help file for more details
  11. We've removed the Text, Insert, Copy, and Options menu, renamed the Modifiers menu the Snaps menu, and added a Tools, Add-ons and an Overland menu. This last menu is replaced by the appropriate add-on menu
  12. We've remove the Lock/Unlock, Depth and Cursor Snap buttons, as they are rarely used and can still be accessed from the Snaps and Tools menus
  13. Many separate commands have been combined into single commands:
    • All export commands, including Export Window Section have been incorporated into Save As. You can control the settings of each export file type by clicking the new Options button on the Save As menu. A single dialog box controls resolution for all raster formats
    • Picture, Insert Text File, Insert Part and XREF have all been combined into Insert File on the Edit menu. There is also an option to embed a bitmap in the drawing, instead of having it as a separate entity
    • All the various options and preferences scattered around the menus have been combined into a new Options dialog box on the new Tools menu
    • The various Path, Polygon, Line, Circle, Arc and Offset commands are now combined onto single dialog boxes. You can choose the default, which is activated by toolbar button click, or right click a toolbar button for quick access to the drawing commands

You can delete or scale selected symbol references, create new symbols from scratch or from existing ones and edit or list symbols. You can also export a selection of symbols to create a new symbol catalog, import CC2 files as symbols, purge all the symbols from a drawing, import symbols from another drawing, replace one symbol with another, or reorganize the symbol order. Optionally, you can see the symbols as thumbnail images or by name alone, and you can hide or show symbol fill style symbols
    • You can import and export drawing tool and symbol catalog settings to share them with other users using Tools >> Import/Export Settings
    • When you select New... to start a new map, you can select from a gallery of images, and the new map will be based on the selected template. The previous New options can be accessed by right clicking the New icon
    • Add-on icons have been moved to the File icon bar, giving us more space for new add-ons!
    • The new Symbol Style Toggle icon lets you choose between different styles of the same symbols settings - so click on it to swap between Line and Filled symbols in CC2
    • The Draw Like command lets you select a drawing entity in your drawing, then proceeds to draw another
    • Editing commands have been updated and improved. Move, Scale Rotate lets you drag entities visually, rotate entities - just right click to finish the rotation, or scale them visually. Rotate lets you align to a selected straight edge, Scale lets you scale with only one selection point. The appearance of these commands can be controlled using Cursor Options, giving you a non-visual or bounding box option. All the original non-visual versions are available with a right click on the toolbar buttons
    • New Room and Corridor commands. These are cut down versions of those found in DD2, but still powerful. Right click the Dungeon Designer to icon to access these
    • A new building command These are cut down versions of those found in CD2. You get a choice of six house styles, and you can edit the colors. Right click the City Designer tool bar button to access these
    • Paste has been improved to make it visually - it now works like the copy command, and doesn't ask for a scale or rotation. You can insert bitmaps directly into drawings, too. The non-visual Paste is still available by right-clicking the Copy button
    • Right click context menus are available for most toolbar buttons. They give you a menu of related, but less frequently used commands. These menus are stored in the System folder and can be edited with a text editor
    • Added 'CAD Files' filter to FILE command
    • The ATTACH Mode dialog now has a check box showing/changing the current attach enabled state

Changes in CC2-Pro

==================
We've done a lot of work on the interface in this new version to make it easier and more intuitive to use. We have a new look, right click menus on most commands, a new Drawing Tools feature, improved symbol management, reorganised and simplified menus, cut down room, corridor and building commands and a selection of city and dungeon symbols

  1. Toolbar buttons are now in the new, sleak, Win 2000 look with transparent icons, instead of grey-backed ones
  2. Moved specialised mapping commands to the top left icon bars
There is also an option to embed a bitmap in the drawing, instead of having it as a seperate entity

To add the command to the right click menu on the Text button, open the text.mnc file in your system folder using a plain text editor, and add the following lines
Font to Symbols (poly):|TEXPLSYM;
Font to Symbols (multipoly)|TEXPLSYMMP;

after this line

CC2-Pro Universal Update Version 4
(21 July 2003) Readme

***** IMPORTANT *****
Installation

============

This update is cumulative. It includes all fixes to CC2-Pro made up to 21 July 2003.

Add-on Support
==============
If you have any add-ons, the installation order is:

  1. CC2-Pro.
  2. Any add-ons in any order.
  3. Check your CC2-Pro version date. To do this go to Windows Start Menu > Programs > Profantasy > CC2-Pro Version or open the file "cc2pro version.txt" from your CC2 folder.
  4. If the version date does not exist, or is before 21 July 2003, install this update.
*********************
Pro V4 improvements
===================
  1. Reworked drawing tools so that line widths can be proportional to the map border, rather than a set dimension. This allows drawing tools to scale correctly for each template size.
  2. Moved Drawing tool definitions from the registry to individual files in CC2's system\DrawTools folder.
  3. Fixed bug that prevented symbol catalog going to 2 columns on Windows XP systems.

Pro V3 improvements
===================

New Symbol catalog utilities
----------------------------
  1. Options let you change the size of the symbol display window and have more than one column of symbols
  2. A new Add Symbol Info command lets you give symbols extra features. Use it when editing a symbol defintion.
    • Symbols can be nested. Press TAB to go through the nested symbols.
    • Nested symbols can be selected randomly
    • Symbols can be made varicolor based on the current color, with shades either side.
Open Vegetation Varicolor.fsc in the Symbols\Maps\Filled folder for an example to do this
      Check Varicolor Add Symbol Info
Create layers with the name VARICOLOR and a number afterwards. This displaces the color on either side of the current color.
When imported into the drawing C is appended to the symbol name. The color is changed for all VARICOLOR layers and all layers merged to just VARICOLOR.

These are all valid varicolor layernames
      VARICOLOR-4
      VARICOLOR-0
      VARICOLOR+0
      VARICOLOR0
      VARICOLOR3
      VARICOLOR+3
    • Provides Perspectives symbol support

    Other Features
    -------------
    1. Provide support for SS3 and Perspectives resources
    2. Updated Help file and contents
    3. Provide example Per Pro and SS3 map.
    4. when you explode text, it creates an individual multipoly for each letter (allowing it to work with script fonts). You can also convert a True Type Font into a CC2 Symbol Catalog. This is great for symbol font.
    Pro V3 bug fixes

    1. Fixed bug where draw tools does not function properly with two point path.
    2. Fixed Symbol manager display bug in Win 2000.
    3. Fixed XP and WIn 2000 bug which on some systems caused File >> Open to crash
    4. Fixed bug where file operations asked yes/no/save regardless of whether the file had been modified.
    5. Browse file no longer saved with fcw extension to avoid confusion.
    6. Fixed bug where cancel rotate align left the entities selected.
    7. Fixed bug where ROT did not work on groups.
Pro V2 bug fixes and improvements
    =================================
